Hi, I’m Lotus, a longtime editorial professional whose love for the written word has taken me from California to New York for 12 years and back to California again. I’ve been writing, editing and producing all sorts of content ever since I completed my master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University, where I focused on magazine publishing — and I haven’t looked back.
For much of my career, I worked at many different magazines, where I've covered a diverse range of topics in a number of roles, starting as a fact checker at Sunset. Moving on from that experience, I went on to work as a features editor at Macworld; production editor at More; managing editor, executive editor and editor in chief at multiple publications for the professional beauty industry; and most recently, as the editor in chief of Marin Magazine.
Aside from my magazine editorial experience, I've expanded my expertise on so many other fronts as well over the years. I've managed a content marketing program for USCellular; completed numerous copywriting projects for major corporations including Visa, Ricoh, TransUnion and Sam's Club; managed a blog and written press releases for a creative agency; written articles for leading media brands like Brit+Co; and copyedited two books focused on the healthcare industry, among many other projects.
